NVIDIA Unveils Vera Rubin 7-Chip Platform at GTC 2026
At GTC 2026, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang delivered a massive keynote, unveiling the Vera Rubin 7-chip platform, the successor to Blackwell. Aimed squarely at “AI factories,” this new infrastructure represents a monumental leap in compute power.
NVIDIA confirmed that major AI labs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta, are already planning to utilize the Rubin architecture to train larger, more capable models and to serve long-context, multimodal systems at unprecedented speeds and lower costs. Huang also highlighted that AI coding assistants like Anthropic’s Claude Code and OpenAI’s Codex are heavily utilized internally by NVIDIA engineers, showcasing the recursive loop of AI building better AI infrastructure.
With Rubin, the compute bottleneck for AGI development continues to dissolve, paving the way for more autonomous, agentic workflows across the globe.
